Today could be seen as a day of fantastic news, or a day of sad news. The Dillinger Escape Plan have announced a string of UK shows in January in support of their final album Dissociation. However it could well be that these are the final shows the band are going to play over here. Do not sleep on these tickets, I fully expect this entire tour to sell out and The Dillinger Escape Plan are a band you simply need to see Live.
The Dates are as follows:
18 January – Norwich Waterfront
19 January – Glasgow QMU
20 January – Manchester Academy 2
21 January – Nottingham Rock City
22 January – Birmingham The Institute
23 January – Cardiff Tramshed
25 January – London O2 Forum Kentish Town
26 January – Brighton Concorde 2
The Dillinger Escape Plan announced early in August that their upcoming 6th studio album Dissociation would be their last record. Their three most recent records, Ire Works, Option Paralysis and the most recent One of us is the Killer are among the best records released in the past ten years and it’s a real shame to see the band calling curtains on their career. The sheer energy and intensity of their live show is a grand force to behold and I cannot recommend it enough.
